Inheriting the smokey vocals of Fred Neil, the sass and humor of Groucho Marx, and an undying, dyed in the wool musical integrity, Kelley Stoltz is a native from Detroit living in San Francisco making some of the very best music today. He is a, "make it yourself" kind of guy and as such, is quite capable of soaring to great and magnificent heights. If you have a chance, and if you truly love original, heart felt music, you must check out his second record, by far my favorite, Antique Glow. You will lose yourself to the carnival mirrors, the pink and blue bubbles spun from sugar, the smoke...the green and yellow smoke creeping up and out wrapping around your throat, the glinting gleen off the backs of dew dripping dinosaurs, you will marvel at times, one leg out and the other astride a great chasm, bracing yourself before the inevitable swallows you down...down...down...
